Gym Bag Essentials

Happy Monday everyone! It’s been a couple of weeks since you set that New Year’s fitness goal. Hopefully, yours is going according to plan. I finally have a gym routine that is working for me. One thing that helps me get my routine down packed  is prepping my gym bag. I go through my bag the night before to make sure I have everything to get the most of my workout. There is nothing like forgetting something and it totally kills your mood at they gym. Here are some things I like to keep in my bag to make sure I have the epic workout:

Wireless headphones. I love my wireless headphones. My ears are pretty tiny so earbuds always falling out when I go jogging. Headphones with wires get in the way when I weight lift. Wireless headphones allow me to do anything from a bicep curl to a burpee without any discomfort or distractions.

Weight lifting gloves. I don’t lift extremely heavy weights but I lift enough where it can irritate my hands. Whether I’m working out with dumbbells or machines, I always wear my gloves. I have not time for blisters. Ew.
Workout Book. I created my workout book from a planner to schedule my workouts - I will make a post on exactly what I did. It pretty has my workouts for the day, weekly goals, etc. It really helps me stay on track so I can get in and out of the gym.

Face towel. Pretty self explanatory. I hate the feeling of my face being sweaty and dirty.

Water bottle. Stay hydrated in very important. Even though I hate water, I try to take a drink or two in between sets, exercises and every 10 min on the cardio machines.

Makeup remover wipes. Not matter what - under any circumstances - workout in makeup!! No matter how cute your trainer is, your skin will never forgive you! 99% of the time I wash my face before I workout. If there is a slim chance I can’t make it to a sink, I keep wipes in my bag. When you exercise, your pores are open and sweat + makeup getting will cause major breakouts.

Bandana/scarf. I have to tie my hair no matter what style it’s in. Sometimes I look crazy at the gym but I’d rather look good outside of the gym than in there. BTW: if you look good after a workout, you didn’t do enough ;)

What’s in your gym bag?
