Skincare is something that I’ve recently taken an interest in. I didn’t realize how important skincare really was until I starting wearing makeup on a regular basis. I noticed my pores felt pretty clogged and my makeup began looking inconsistent. This led to horrible breakouts which left dark spots/post-acne marks. It was pretty disgusting cycle I was creating - more breakouts, more makeup, more breakouts, etc. I want clear and flawless skin so bad. I want to have young fresh skin and feels just as sexy without makeup as I do with it on.
I was in desperate need of an entire new skincare routine. Not just a new skincare routine, but I also wanted to try a cleansing tool. I felt like my hands and other tools I’ve tried just wasn't getting the job done. I’ve watched and read tons of reviews about the Foreo Luna for quite some time and really wanted to try it. While watching these reviews, I noticed the majority of them were comparison to the Clarisonic Mias. After much debate, I went ahead and purchased the the Foreo Luna Mini!
Consultants at Sephora told me that when trying a new beauty or skincare product, you should give it two weeks for changes to come about. I’ve been using my Luna since the middle of November. I really wanted to get a good feel of this tool because my skin and body get used to a routine pretty quickly. Here’s what I discovered with this tool.

Cost Effective. The Foreo Luna is retailed at $199 and the Foreo Luna Mini is $139. This may seem a little expensive but for a cleansing tool it’s not. The Clarisonic Mias can run between $99 - $199, in addition to the replaceable brush heads that cost between $27- $44. The brush heads have to be replaced about every 3 months or so - using tool 2-3 per week - which would be another $81 - $132 a year. The CLINQUE Sonic Brush is $89.50 retail price with the brush heads priced at $26. In conclusion, the Foreo Luna is not as expensive as you think because the upkeep of other tools cost more in the long-run. The Luna does not need anything replaceable - brush head, silicone head, etc.
Quality of Device. This is a quality device with great longevity. Not only is it waterproof but it holds an amazing charge. I have had my Luna since November and I have not needed to charge it. I’ve read the it can hold a charge up to 3 - 5 months per 1 hour charge session. The size of the Luna Mini is perfect for me in particular because I have a small hands and small facial features so it gets into those hard to reach places. The Luna has a 3 minute timer to prevent overuse, which is divided into 15 second increments to move to another area on the face. Very easy to travel with as well.
Skin Results. A little bit of background on my skin. I had the normal teenage acne in high school. I mostly had acne breakouts on my T-Zone - forehead, nose and chin area - which was awful. My skin is also pretty sensitive to new products and harsh chemicals. As I’m getting older, I have combination skin and have occasional breakouts when I’m stressed or when my skin not 100% cleansed. I even have to be extra cautious change my pillow cases more often and wipe down my cell phone. Yes, my skin is that sensitive.
I was glad the Foreo Luna Mini was a gentle use tool - great for sensitive skin. There are different Lunas for different skin type - similar to different brush heads for different skin types. Even though it has adjustable speeds, it does not give a deep clean. The Luna is more of an gentle exfoliator. The silicone bristles pulsate on the skin which is good for anti-aging and also is antibacterial - very hygienic. Most importantly, my skin did not “purge” while using the Luna. I've noticed my skin is brighter and super soft, even after the first use.
Overall. I think the Foreo Luna and Luna Mini are great everyday cleansing tools that work best for people with sensitive skin. It is best used to anti-aging and exfoliating purposes. They are also cost efficient compared to its competitors. It helped brighten my skin and had gotten my occasional breakouts under control as well. Well worth it the buy!
How do you like the Foreo Luna? .
